Random Pet Peeves

Beating a team that's better than you
I can think of two occasions but very similar in outcome. One in high school and one in college division championship tournament facing a ranked opponent. I honestly don't know why anyone would want to umpire with some of the abuse that is freely handed out. I give you guys credit and try to keep my mouth shut. (Although with my daughter being a pitcher I have moaned once or twice on a ball which I thought was a strike)- Top_Notch

My kid plays D2 and I watched an opposing pitcher throwing 65mph dominate the game until the very last batter, who promptly sent a line drive to her head. NAIA ruling on Transgender athletes
Men don't belong playing women's sports. Why this is a conversation is beyond me. Taking drugs and/or removing body parts does not make one the opposite sex. That is rooted in science. Not judging, just stating fact. There, I said it.- Top_Notch

NCAA is inept at best. They make these rules and don't think of unintended consequences. From the transfer portal to covid years, they seem to be hellbent on screwing things up. Just wait until these players unionize. NCAA deserves exactly what they get.- Top_Notch

Like I said, I was watching this online so what I saw is what you see. The coach did confer with the umpires but the ultimate ruling was the runner was safe. Rude Parents
Generally it does tone down as the girls get older. By 16U most parents know coaches may be watching and are sitting in left field. I think 10U was the worst. 10U. Think about it. 10 year old girls.- Top_Notch
